Resources & Links

Autism Society of America - This organization has been a very valuable resource
for me.  If you are new to autism, make sure you click on this link for a
comprehensive look at understanding autism.  You can also find local chapters
through the ASA website.

Managing Autism Safety - Dennis Debbaudt - I attended a seminar hosted by
Autism Society of Illinois with Mr. Debbaudt as a presenter.  Discussion involved
identification of autism safety and risk issues; ways to minimize risk and
communication strategies for working with law enforcement and school
professionals.  Excellent!

Lowry-Fritz Special Education Law Consulting Services - I attended a wonderful
presentation by Maureen Lowry-Fritz.  Parents - Take charge of your child's IEP

Little Friends, Inc. - Naperville, IL

Autism Speaks - It's Time To Listen

Center for Developmental Services, Greenville, SC - You may be wondering why I'm
highlighting this resource.  We lived in Greenville until David was 6 years old.  I
can't say enough about this wonderful facility.  If you live in or near Greenville,
please check this out.  The Center is a wonderful concept that could probably be
duplicated in other cities.

GreenTop Jewelry - Barbara Green, whose grandson is autistic,  is a good friend
from my Greenville days.  She makes beautiful, original jewelry.  Please visit her
site.
